When I added the prefix as instructed, the plugin stopped working; there is no caching, and the website loads very slowly.

define( 'YAC_OCACHE_KEY_PREFIX', 'site' ); // default wp; give each install its own when sites share one PHP pool

It seems the mistake was mine; I didn’t read the instructions carefully.

I accidentally disabled the cache by setting this:
define( ‘YAC_OCACHE_DISABLE’, true );
