    The login page features the “Login via Passkey” button. Immediately after the button is clicked, I’m presented with a message that says “Failed to fetch”.

    The issue is occurring with multiple web browsers.

    When I sign-in using a username/password, I don’t see any useful info. in the Secure Passkeys Activity Log.

    “Failed to fetch” means the request to admin-ajax.php never got a response, it’s a network-level block, not an error from the plugin. That’s also why nothing logs: the Activity Log only tracks passkey register/login/remove, not password logins.

    Could you share your login page URL so we can test directly? If not, could you check:

    1. Browser DevTools → Network tab — what does the failed admin-ajax.php request show (status/error)?
    2. Any security plugin/WAF/Cloudflare active?
    3. Does it happen in a private window with extensions off?

    Turns out the issue was because the login page was loading as https://www.example.com, rather than https://example.com.

    I added a redirect rule to my .htaccess file to ensure that all www requests are redirected to the root domain.

    # BEGIN www to root redirect
    <IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www\.(.+)$ [NC]
    RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://%1/$1 [R=301,L,QSA]
    </IfModule>
    # END www to root redirect

    I am now able to use the Login via Passkey button. 👍🏻
