GTranslate stopped working

    Got today a notification from a blog reader, that GTranslate (currently free version) stopped working. I can select a language, but it won’t translate anything. I tested it on several WP blogs:

    borncity.com/win/
    borncity.eu/senioren/

    for instance. First, I thought, it could be related to the Update to WP 7.1.1 – but a core rollback to 7.0.5 didn’t help. Also a rollback of the plugin to a previous version didn’t help.

    Had a glance at the developer console. Found the following error:

    Uncaught ReferenceError: __GT is not defined
    at dwf.js?ver=5.0.1:163:222
    at load_tlib (dwf.js?ver=5.0.1:162:350)
    at window.doGTranslate (dwf.js?ver=5.0.1:163:201)
    at HTMLAnchorElement. (dwf.js?ver=5.0.1:207:13)
    (anonymous) @ dwf.js?ver=5.0.1:163
    load_tlib @ dwf.js?ver=5.0.1:162
    window.doGTranslate @ dwf.js?ver=5.0.1:163
    (anonymous) @ dwf.js?ver=5.0.1:207

    But I have no clue, how to solve that or what is causing this issue.

    Hi,

    Your consent manager plugin (CMP) is blocking requests to cdn.gtranslate.net, so you end up having this:

    <script data-cmp-src="https://cdn.gtranslate.net/widgets/latest/lib.min.js" src="" class="null cmplazyload" data-cmp-info="4" data-cmp-vendor="unknownVendor"></script>

    Instead of properly loaded and executed library.

    You will need to allow it.
