  • Hi @rk999,

    Thanks for reaching out, and sorry to hear the breakpoint change hasn’t taken effect yet! I’d be happy to help you sort this out.

    The breakpoint filter you use depends on which header builder your site is using, so let’s start there:

    Step 1: Check which header builder you’re on

    Go to WP Dashboard → Astra Dashboard → Settings. If you see an option to switch to the “New Header Footer Builder,” you’re currently on the Old Header. If that option isn’t there, you’re already on the New Header Builder.

    Step 2: Use the matching code snippet

    If you’re on the New Header Builder, add this to your child theme’s functions.php (to change the tablet breakpoint, for example):

    add_filter( 'astra_tablet_breakpoint', function() { return 1024; } );

    And for the mobile breakpoint:

    add_filter( 'astra_mobile_breakpoint', function() { return 544; } );

    If you’re on the Old Header, first try the quick customizer route: Customize → Header → Primary Menu → Mobile Menu. If that doesn’t do the trick, use this snippet instead:

    function your_prefix_change_header_breakpoint() { return 1120; } add_filter( 'astra_header_break_point', 'your_prefix_change_header_breakpoint' );

    A few common reasons this doesn’t take effect:

    • The code was added to a plugin like Code Snippets, or pasted somewhere other than your child theme’s functions.php — either works, just double check it saved without errors
    • A caching plugin or your host’s cache is still serving the old CSS — try clearing all caches after adding the snippet
    • Using the wrong filter for your header builder type (the New Header and Old Header use different filter names, as above)

    If you’ve already tried the right snippet for your header type and it’s still not budging, could you share your site URL? I’d be glad to take a closer look. And no worries about the Spectra side for now — let’s get Astra’s breakpoint sorted first, since Spectra’s setting won’t matter if Astra’s header itself isn’t switching at the size you want.

    Looking forward to your reply!
