    Hello,

I’ve been testing this plugin for a while now and it has a pretty fast preload. I like it.

In my case I use it on my auction site with 2 languages (through WPML, principal “Spanish”, secondary, “English”)

I have the problem when there is an update to a plugin on the site.

In those cases, some section of the site, when loaded in the secondary language, usually loses the cache and shows the entire broken section on the web.

I solved it by clearing the cache from the Super Page Cache clearing option, but it shouldn’t happen. Also, I always have to be monitoring the site to make sure the cache isn’t broken like that.

Normally the problem only occurs with the “About us” section, in the “English” language loading.

What other information do you need to be able to review this problem?

    Saludos.
    Gustavo.

  • Hi @boomerangz,

Thanks for the detailed report, and glad to hear the preloader is working well for you.

What you are describing matches a configuration default rather than a bug in the cache itself. By default, Super Page Cache does not clear its cache when another plugin is updated. Here is what I think is happening on your site:

    1. A plugin update replaces or regenerates that plugin’s CSS and JS files. Page builders and some other plugins generate styling files with unique names, and the old files are removed during the update.
    2. Your cached pages were saved before the update, so their HTML still points to the old file names. When a visitor loads such a page, the styling file is missing and the section renders broken.
    3. Your Spanish pages get more traffic, so their cache refreshes sooner on its own. The English pages, like “About us”, stay in the cache much longer, which is why the problem almost always shows up there.

Clearing the cache manually fixes it because the pages get rebuilt with the new file references, exactly as you observed. To make this happen automatically:

    1. Go to Super Page Cache settings and open the Advanced tab.
    2. Enable “Auto-purge on Updates” (it automatically purges the cache when a plugin update completes).
    3. In the Preloader section of the same tab, also enable “Automatically preload the pages you have purged from cache” so both languages are warmed up again right after each update.
    4. Save.

If a section still breaks after enabling those options, please share:

    1. What the broken section looks like: missing styles, missing content, or an error message.
    2. Whether the browser console (F12, Network tab) shows red 404 entries for .css or .js files while the page is broken.
    3. Which page builder the site uses, for example Elementor.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi @malexandric

Thank you so much for your reply. I missed that first option and had it disabled.

We’ll see if everything goes well when I update the plugins in the next few days. I’ll come back here if anything changes.

    Saludos.
