    Hello

I’m a German teacher, teaching german to Arabic students online, and I’m using Tutor lms. It was working good but the latest big update caused many issues and I don’t have time to report bugs, especially those related to Arabic language.

I wanna use Masteriyo and its beautiful Elearning theme. I’d like to know if it supports these:

    • By tutor lms, i could create and modify courses by my phone and tablet without reponsive issues. Is it possible to create and modify courses by android phone or tablet using Masteriyo?
    • Mixed LTR RTL lessons
    • LTR RTL quizzes with the correct direction. The German LTR with punctuation appearing correctly at the right side, end of the text. RTL with punctuation at the left side of arabic text.
    • Is there any solution for caching plugins?
    • If i transfer my lessons, How can i protect my website made by Elearning and Masteriyo lms from attacks and bots? (Any tutorial or tested documentation about security plugins working without conflicts with Masteriyo lms?)
    • Does it have a dedicated place in which the unanswered questions of students appear?

    Thank you very much.

    Hi @thelanguageteacher ,

Thanks for the detailed questions. Here’s a quick breakdown to your questions

    Creating/editing courses on Android

Yes. The course builder works in mobile browsers, so you can create courses, add lessons, reorder the curriculum, and edit content from a phone or tablet.

There are currently some minor layout inconsistencies on narrow screens, mainly around the course-builder header and a few controls. These are already logged for improvement. Nothing is unusable, but a tablet is more comfortable than a phone for building courses. Quick edits work fine on either. The student-facing side is fully responsive.

German + Arabic in the same quiz

Yes, mixed German and Arabic quizzes work correctly. I verified this with both languages in the same quiz. Each question and its answer options automatically follow the correct text direction, including punctuation.

One limitation: Arabic text inside a lesson body is displayed correctly, but on a German-language site it remains left-aligned rather than right-aligned. For a fully bilingual setup, using the appropriate RTL language setting for the Arabic site is recommended. The dashboard, account area, and course player automatically support RTL when the site language is RTL.

    Caching plugins

Caching plugins generally work fine. The main setting to watch is Delay JavaScript, which can affect the JavaScript-based student account area. If that happens, simply exclude the account page from JS delay rather than disabling the entire caching plugin.

    Security / firewall plugins

Wordfence, Sucuri, Solid Security, and similar security plugins can be used with Masteriyo. If your security plugin restricts the WordPress REST API, make sure the masteriyo/v1 routes remain accessible, as the course pages, checkout, and student dashboard use them.

    Student questions

Yes. Masteriyo provides a Question & Answers section where you can view, search, filter, and reply to student questions. Instructors can also receive email notifications for new questions.

The section appears after the first question is submitted, so it may not be visible on a new site initially.

Hope that gives you enough to make the decision. Happy to answer anything else.
