    Hello,
    I just noticed in my error log failed request to http://api.daily.dev/apple-touch-icon.png.

    WP HTTP GET request failed for http://api.daily.dev/apple-touch-icon.png: 404 Not Found

    But more importantly, why this plugin is fetching resources from other servers? I don’t like that. Where is disclosed this activity and reason behind it?

    Hey Jaro,

    Thanks for reaching out! In the case above, Independent Analytics is attempting to fetch the favicon image for that domain. This is the image shown in the browser tab when visiting the site. These favicon images are used throughout the plugin, but mainly in the referrers report.

    I just opened a new ticket to add an option to the setting panel to allow this feature to be completely disabled. It will come out in the next release!

    Thank you for explanation, it makes sense now. I appreciate I’ll be able to turn it off. And maybe it can be fetched by the browser when user access the page, no need to be in on the server. And one more thing, if you fetch /favicon.ico and remove subdomain, in this case remove api, you’ll increase the chance of getting the icon.
