HTML in custom Field

Hi there
I created a custom field where I want to enter individual text for each event. Until now, I’ve been able to embed links to external sites or download links for media in HTML there. But for some time now, these have been displayed only as plain text “<a href=…”, not as clickable links. Why is this happening, and how can I fix it?
