WP Highslide – WP interface works but code does not function properly in page

Installed as per instructions, activated it and the icon appeared in the page editor window. Used the icon to insert an image and was successful. Saved page, refreshed page in browser, image showed, click on it and it just opened the image in the same window as though it was just a normal link to the image, no caption, no pop-up. Same behavior in IE and Firefox.

I bought Highslide years ago, have used it successfully on many sites using hand-coding. No problems. This does not function as it’s supposed to in WordPress.
