The translation editor doesn’t recognize the strings on my pages. It keeps on “Loading Strings…”, not showing any content.

I tried on several pages from my Website, nothing is recognized. I Use the translation editor in Elementor.

I tried to debug with the options in the TranslatePress settings, and also i made the database cleaning. I also reinstalled the Plugin. Nothing helped.

My website is english and I want to translate it into german. This plugin was working properly with my website a few weeks ago, and then suddenly it couldn’t translate anymore, without me changing anything.

Please tell me what I need to do to fix this. Maybe it’s a bug.

    Hi @felixwidrig ,

    Thank you for reaching out.

Please select a string in the TranslatePress Editor, open the developer console, and take a full-page screenshot. This will help me see both the error in the TranslatePress Editor and any errors in your console. Then, share the screenshot with me.

Additionally, go to Settings > TranslatePress > Advanced and take a screenshot of the “Troubleshoot” section as well.

You can use a site like https://snipboard.io/ to share the screenshots.

    Hi @felixwidrig

Thank you for sending the screenshots.

If you have any security or minification plugins, please deactivate them and try again. Some caching plugins also include minification settings that can break JavaScript code, so for testing purposes, please disable any caching as well. Additionally, try opening the website in a different browser to rule out any browser add-ons that might be interfering with JavaScript.

If the issue persists, there might be a conflict with some other code. In that case, the next step I’d recommend is performing a conflict test, ideally on a staging environment:

Briefly disable all other plugins except TranslatePress and enable the default Twenty Twenty theme. Please also disable all add-ons. If this fixes the problem, as it probably will, enable everything one by one, checking each time to see when the problem returns.

Let me know how it goes.
