Disable plugin devs from using big icons & format

    WordPress doesn’t have a setting for this. Plugin author can add their own image on the plugins screen and their own menu icon, so core doesn’t restrict it.

    You can hide them with CSS, but it has to load in wp-admin. The Additional CSS box only works on the front end, so use the admin_head hook and add css in child theme functions.php file. Right click the icon and inspect it to get the selector.

    The icons come from the plugin though, not WordPress, so it’s worth raising there too since only the author can add an option to turn it off. https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/popup-maker/

    Ah I see. That’s a bummer! I’ve never seen anything like it was so I was a bit shocked. I get it, these free plugin’s need it’s own advertising for premium subscription but this one just sticks out like a sore thumb so I’ll just at least hide the left column with CSS.
