How does Export/Import work?

    I have a production website with a number of PODS definitions with records which can be displays as https://domain.example/pods-slug/name

    Now we plan a relaunch with a new design and created a staging website for this. On the production website we exported an existing PODS definition as package and imported that to the staging site.

    The PODS definition is visible also all posts inside this PODS – however when I try to view a PODS record as https://staging.domain.example/pods-slug/name, WordPress does not find it but reports HTTP 404.

    Any idea what may be wrong?

    Have permalinks been configured on the new site?

    At a minimum, some permalink structure usually needs to be selected and saved at initial setup.

    Depending on the server in use (Apache .htaccess, Nginx location definition, dev server, etc), there usually also needs to be a configuration to allow the appropriate server behavior.
