Hi, I’m using Burst in connection with Compliance. But Compliance doesn’t block the burst_uid cookie and so it’s loaded before consent is explicitily granted. How can I block it manually?

The easiest solution is to install the WP Consent API. Complianz and Burst both integrate with it, which should resolve the issue.

The WP Consent API handles the communication between consent handling plugins, and plugins that may require consent.

I installed the plugin, but the cookie is still loaded before consent is granted.

Hi @kathrin9sf,

I think this is the same issue as this one:

Even though a cookie is set, no actual tracking is being done: the state of the cookies does not get sent to the server. The next update will also make sure that on sites with Geo IP enabled, no cookie is being set.

Exactly! The problem is the strict regulation in Austria. If cookies are loaded before consent is granted you can get into trouble and you have to prove that no data is sent without consent. Well, I will stick to cookieless tracking until this is solved.
