WPForms Lite Connect Cannot Connect to Backup Server

    Hello, I am using WPForms Lite and Lite Connect is enabled for entry backups. However, I keep getting the warning: ” Your form entries can’t be backed up because WPForms can’t connect to the backup server. I tested my site and the REST API is available and the SSL connection test is successful. My form itself works correctly and test submission are successfully delivered to my email. My hosting provider checked the server and said the issue is not on their side. Could you please help me determine why Lite Connect cannot connect to backup server? Thank you.

    Hi @melis97 ,

    Thanks for reaching out, and sorry for the trouble.

    Lite Connect stops trying after 20 failed attempts and turns itself off, which is why you keep seeing that warning. There is a counter saved in your database that needs to be reset.

    Could you please visit yoursite.com/wp-admin/options.php in your browser? This is the built-in All Settings page in WordPress, so you’ll need to type the address directly.

    Search the page for wpforms_lite_connect_generate_key_attempt_counter and let me know what value it shows.

    If it is set to 20, please change it to 0 and click Save Changes at the bottom. Then, go to WPForms > Settings > General, turn Lite Connect off and back on, and submit a test entry.
