Help editing a custom theme

    I have a custom theme made for me but I don’t know how to do anything but minor editing of it.
    I want that when I click a particular button a pre-defined web page is shown.
    e.g. on the training part of my page [ redundant link deleted ] there are three columns, each with a “More Information” button. I want to be able to change the page so that I can provide a URL for each of the “More Information” buttons in those three columns. But I have no idea how to edit this in PHP/CSS/JS. Any pointers on how to do this? or pointers to persons who can help me do that?

    Hi,

    I checked the site you shared. Currently it’s opening with a popup. The “More Information” element is currently a <button>, and it does not contain a URL or an onclick action. Therefore, clicking it cannot open another page by itself.

    You can replace the <button> with an <a> element and add the required page URL through the href attribute:

    <a href="https://example.com/your-page/"

    Replace https://example.com/your-page/ with the actual destination URL. You can do this separately for each of the three “More Information” links.

    However, if this HTML is generated by the custom theme rather than entered through the WordPress editor, the relevant theme template will need to be modified. Ideally, the theme developer should add an editable URL field for each column so you can manage these links from the WordPress dashboard without changing the code each time.

    Please create a backup before editing any theme files, and use a child theme so future theme updates do not overwrite the changes.
