Hi @thinkmarshstudio,
Thanks for flagging this — and to be upfront, there’s currently no built-in setting that does what you’re asking for. The “Items to show” option doesn’t just control what’s visible, it controls how many images actually get placed on the page, and the lightbox can only page through what’s already there. That’s why you’re stopping at 9.
That said, I had a go at building something along the lines of what you described, and I think it does the job. Here’s a quick recording: https://d.pr/v/ctiCK8
Your grid still shows the initial 9 images you’ve set, and Load More still works exactly as it does now, pulling in the next batch each time you click. Nothing changes there.
The difference is the lightbox. Open any image and it now knows about all 60 from the start — the counter reads “1 of 60” straight away, and you can keep clicking past the 9th into the 10th, 11th and onwards, right through to the end, with no pause when you cross that boundary. Behind the scenes the grid quietly keeps loading in step with you, so when you close the lightbox the page has caught up to wherever you got to.
Filtering carries on working the same way — pick a category and the lightbox limits itself to just that category’s images.
Does that look like what you had in mind? Feel free to let me know. 🙂
Thank you!
