Applying security patch with different folder structure [Version 3.7.2.3 Pro]

    Hello!

    I got the notification about the available security patch and wanted to install it by following the instructions on the website. It said to extract the zip, and copy the contents of the events-manager-pro folder in the folder with the same name in wp-content/plugins. Unfortunately, I do not have a “-pro” folder. I only have the events-manager folder. I did copy the contents into that anyway because I would rather try that than be vulnerable. It did not ask for confirmation to override files like the guide said it would.

    Does anyone know where I went wrong or how to check if my website is no longer vulnerable to these security flaws?

    Hello, for Pro security updates, you’ll need to contact us via our Pro support – https://wp-events-plugin.com/contact/ – we’re not allowed to provide Pro support here.

    If you don’t have a events-manager-pro folder, then are you even running Pro?

    I should add that we just released 7.4.3 which does patch a reported issue.

    Hello, thank you for the response!
    I was looking at an old install which caused the confusion. Everything worked fine now afaik.

    If I am not mistaken you do not offer pro support for expired pro licenses. So the only way to get help even with an old pro version is to ask here.
