Email to Admin has address problem
-
Some time ago, we set the Ninja Form fields, for the email that goes to the viewer, with From Name and From Email being the specific name and email of the admin person who receives the submission. Now, we have the problem that while the form is correctly set up to pick up the field values entered by the viewer, the email server is sending them using their own address in the header, which is different from the address used by the viewer. This is causing a fail on the send.
The following is what my client’s email host is saying about it.
“The problem is that the form is setting a header from of whatever email address is put into the email field on the contact us form.
That results in the header being from one address and the SMTP (envelope) being from another. This results in the email being blocked for that reason and because the server that relays the email does not have permission to relay for those addresses 90% of the time.”
Is this something that has a solution on your end, or should it be handled on the web host end?
