v2.0.0.2 Forms are set to Ajax. Only cache is W3TC page cache. Embedded via Elementor widget.

The notification settings appeared to be set to send email to admin with form contents and NO receipt to users, but some of the forms were doing something completely different – sending a receipt notification to form submitters and NOT to admin at all.
I can’t remember if it was supposed to be doing both – I suspect yes because the receipts were well written specifically for the users of the site.
This means for time unknown, emails were not being sent to admin for some forms. I suspect not that long because they are only just getting people questioning them. Maybe around 5th August (first person to alert us submitted then).

Making a small change and pressing save fixed it (so what was appearing in settings then matched what happened in real life).

So it seems that there used to be two notifications for each form (one for admin and one for user receipt) but one was being hidden and still in use and the one displayed in settings was being ignored.

Have there been any other reports similar to this?

Cheers keep up the good work

    Hi @charlesrodmell ,

Thanks for the detailed write up.

In WPForms Lite, only one notification is supported per form. If the form previously had multiple notifications, an additional notification may still remain stored in the form settings but won’t be visible in the Lite builder.

Saving the form rewrites the notification settings based on what is currently shown in the builder, which can resolve the mismatch you experienced.

I’d recommend checking your other forms as well. Open each form, go to Settings » Notifications, confirm the notification shown is the one you want, and save the form.

If you have another form that’s still affected, you can export it via WPForms » Tools » Export and share the exported file with us so we can take a closer look.

Thanks again for the detailed report!

Thanks. Sadly, I’d already found a 2nd form and done the “save” fix, so I can’t send you anything, but good to know for future.

Am I right in thinking the Lite version has ALWAYS only ever allowed 1 notification email and Pro has always been required for a 2nd notification? Or did that change at some point?

    Hi @charlesrodmell ,

You’re welcome, and thanks for checking!

Yes, in WPForms Lite, only one notification is supported per form. Multiple separate notifications are a Pro feature. You can still send that single Lite notification to multiple email addresses by adding them in the Send To Email Address field, separated by commas.

So for your question, the Lite limitation is one notification per form, rather than a limit on the number of recipients for that notification.

    Thanks again!
