Hi @woouser1!
Thanks for reaching out and for explaining the issue in detail.
To assist you further, we first need to understand how exactly the “Processing Order” email template was updated, what changes were made, and how the updated template appears when using “Send a Test Email.”
Could you please share screenshots showing the changes you made and the difference between the test email and the email received after an actual purchase? You can use Snipboard to capture and share the screenshots.
Also, please share your System Status Report from WooCommerce → Status. You can paste the report into Pastebin and share the generated link with us. When creating the Pastebin entry, please enable the Burn after reading option.
Once we have this information, we can investigate further.

Hi there!
Thanks for sharing more details about the issue.
I checked the screenshot, and it appears that you have changed the Processing Order email subject, but the updated subject is not being used when you place an actual order.
I also tried to replicate the issue on my end, but I wasn’t able to reproduce it. This could indicate that a setting or customization from the theme or one of the plugins on your site may be affecting the actual order email.
Could you please create a staging site and perform a conflict test by:
- Deactivating all plugins except WooCommerce.
- Switching to a default theme such as Twenty Twenty-Five.
- Placing a test order and checking whether the updated Processing Order email subject appears.
Please let us know the result of this test.

i also tried different Blocksy site template but also same result.
Hi @woouser1!
Thanks for sharing more details about the issue.
Could you please check the SMTP plugin logs and see which subject is shown for the Processing Order email? Some SMTP plugins provide an email log that also displays the email subject. This can help us determine whether the old subject is being passed to the SMTP plugin.
Also, could you please go to WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → Features, enable the Email Editor beta feature, and then try changing the Processing Order email subject again? After that, please place a test order and check whether the updated subject appears.
Please let us know what you find.
thank you for your assistance, everything working fine now after enabling this: https://snipboard.io/FXBgP0.jpg
i cant locate this feature “Email Editor beta“
Hi @woouser1!
Thank you for the update, and I’m glad to hear that everything is working correctly now.
Sorry for the confusion in my previous message. I was referring to the same option you enabled in the screenshot, which is the Block Email Editor (Alpha) option.
