One of the updates in the last few days at time of writing as added a ton of overhead to the FrontEnd, causing everything to be slower and forcing me to deactivate the plugin.

    Hi @hawbringer,

Thanks so much for flagging this, and for the kind review you left earlier too!

We looked into the performance issue you mentioned, and based on the timing you reported we believe it was already addressed in our last update. To be extra sure, we went back and re-checked everything, made a few more fixes, and just released version 2.0.3.

Could you please update to the latest version and try again? It should be running smoothly now. If you’re still seeing any slowdown after updating, just let us know exactly what you’re notice (which pages, what it feels like, roughly how long after activating) so we can dig in further.

    Thanks again for your patience!

    Best,
    Foysal

    Hi, Foysal,

It seems to be running better in 2.03.

Something I noticed is that Darkify isn’t really taking effect on Like fields on comments and posts.

@hawbringer Thanks for pointing this out.

It looks like the Like feature is being loaded by Jetpack inside a cross-origin iframe. Because of that, Darkify can’t directly apply its styles to the contents of the iframe. This behavior is the same as in the previous version of the plugin as well.

Could you please check whether Jetpack provides any appearance or styling settings for the Like section? If not, we may need to keep it as it is due to the iframe limitation.
