• Running Wordfence 8.2.2 on WordPress 7.0.3. We’re seeing this deprecation notice publicly on our front-end pages and login screen (rather than being suppressed):

Deprecated: preg_replace(): Passing null to parameter #3 ($subject) of type array|string is deprecated in /wp-content/plugins/wordfence/vendor/wordfence/wf-waf/src/lib/rules.php on line 1896

Is there likely to be a new update?

Completely agree. Unfortunately, several aspects of the plugin do not appear to be functioning correctly, and our clients are also experiencing difficulties accessing and logging into their accounts. We have a premium license, and concerned that this issue may not be resolved until Monday. This means we will have experienced an entire weekend of service disruption, affecting our operations and potential loss of business.

    Hi @xpress1234 and all,

Thanks for reaching out to us. We’re investigating this issue.

In the meantime, you may need to disable display_errors; a deprecation message normally shouldn’t cause significant errors in the site’s functionality otherwise.
