Thanks for providing the sitemap URL.
I checked your site, and the sitemap URL is currently displaying a Coming Soon page instead of the actual XML sitemap.

Because the sitemap URL returns a Coming Soon page rather than XML content, Google Search Console detects it as an HTML page, which is why you’re seeing that error.

This isn’t an issue with the sitemap itself. While Coming Soon mode is enabled, search engines are generally unable to access your site’s sitemap or index its content.

To resolve this, you can:

1. If your site is ready to go live: Disable the Coming Soon or Maintenance Mode.
2. If you’re still working on the site: Check the Coming Soon plugin or theme settings for an option to allow search engine crawlers. Enabling that option allows Google to access your sitemap and your site’s content while visitors continue to see the Coming Soon page.

Once you’ve made the change, please open https://makedivorceeasy.com/sitemap_index.xml in your browser. If everything is working correctly, you should see the XML sitemap instead of the Coming Soon page. You can then resubmit the sitemap in Google Search Console, and the error should be resolved.
