    Hi ThinkRank team,

I’m testing ThinkRank with Rank Math, and the migration consistently fails at 40% during “Creating migration snapshot”.

The REST API returns a 500 error with the following exception:

    Uncaught TypeError:
    ThinkRank\Admin\Importers\Rankmath_Exporter::convert_template_variables():
Argument #1 ($value) must be of type string, true given

The stack trace points to class-rankmath-exporter.php during export_settings().

    Environment:

    ThinkRank 1.26.0
    Rank Math SEO 1.0.275 + PRO 3.0.118
    WordPress 7.0.2
    PHP 8.3.30

It appears the exporter assumes a setting is always a string, but encounters a boolean value instead, causing the migration to fail.

    Thanks!

    Hi @atei,

Thank you for the detailed report and stack trace. We identified the issue in the Rank Math exporter and have applied a fix so boolean values are handled correctly during the migration process.

You can download and test the updated development version here:

    https://d.pr/f/j65aJ5

Please install this version and try the migration again. Let us know whether it completes successfully or if you encounter any further issues.

Thanks again for helping us identify this!

    Best regards

    Hi,

    Thanks for the updated build.

I installed the development version, but I’m unable to test the migration because the setup wizard no longer loads.

    After activating the plugin:

The setup wizard no longer launches automatically.
Opening ThinkRank → Setup Wizard only displays a perpetual “Loading Setup Wizard…” screen.

While checking the browser’s developer tools, I noticed the development build is requesting assets that return 404 Not Found, for example:

    /wp-content/plugins/thinkrank/assets/setup-wizard.css?ver=1.26.0

Since these setup wizard assets cannot be loaded, I’m unable to proceed to the migration screen to verify the fix for the original importer issue.

Could you please check whether the development ZIP contains all of the setup wizard assets, or provide an updated build?

    Thanks!

    Hi @atei,

Sorry about the development build error. Can ya try this version from here instead: https://d.pr/f/5G9XTe

You can run the migration again from your ThinkRank Settings -> Migration Tools. Here’s the screenshot: https://d.pr/i/schwtj

Let me know how it goes. Hope it helps.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the updated build.

I can confirm that the latest development version resolves the migration issue. The Rank Math migration completed successfully.

While testing the MCP functionality, I’ve encountered another issue.

Both the Claude and ChatGPT connectors are currently failing:

In some cases, the connector fails to establish a connection.
In other cases, the connection succeeds, but no MCP tools are exposed to the client.

Since the migration is now working correctly, this appears to be a separate issue related to the MCP implementation.

    Hi @rafinkhan,

    Thanks for the update.

I installed the latest version from WordPress.org and I’m happy to confirm that everything is now working as expected.

The Rank Math migration completed successfully, and the MCP-related issues I was experiencing with the Claude connector has also been resolved.

Thanks for the quick turnaround and for addressing the issues so promptly. Great work!
