Manage sidebare widgets area

    Our site use free version of Materials theme for 8 years. Very happy with this

    Now we would like to update widgets settings on sidebar.

    As you can see on the screen copies the widgets are not recognized and when clicking on pencils nothing happens.

    Is there a different way to manage widgets ?

    Hi there,

    Thank you for using our theme for 8 years!

    Here are a few ways you can manage your widgets:

    1. Use the Main Dashboard

    Instead of clicking the pencil icons in the Customizer:

    • Go to your WordPress Dashboard.
    • Navigate to Appearance > Widgets.
    • Edit your sidebar widgets directly from this page.

    2. Install the Classic Widgets Plugin

    If the current widget screen is giving you trouble:

    • Go to Plugins > Add New.
    • Search for Classic Widgets (by WordPress Contributors).
    • Click Install and Activate.

    This will revert your widget section back to the traditional format. Check for Plugin Interference

    Sometimes updates to other active plugins on your site can conflict with the live preview and cause editor buttons or pencil icons to stop responding as expected.

    Let us know if any of these options help you update your sidebar!
