WP Rollback doesn’t work anymore
-
Upgrading and downgrading via “WP Rollback” suddenly no longer works for me. When trying, I get an error message.
Whilst the steps ‘Enabling maintenance mode’, ‘Download requested version’ and ‘Creating version archive’ still run without a hitch, at ‘Validating package integrity’ I get the message ‘Error: Package not found for rollback’ and the previous version remains in place.
Interestingly, installing new plugins works without any problems. Deactivating and removing plugins also works.
Not sure if the problem is related but my site also no longer detects available updates for plugins and core.
Under “Site Health”, the only “Critical Issue” shown to me is that plugins and themes are not updated automatically, but this is an intended setting (through “Easy Updates Manager”) and has never previously resulted in available updates no longer being displayed.
I’ve tried deactivating all plugins, clearing the cache, deleting the transients from the database and even reinstalling the core manually (because it wouldn’t work via Dashboard > Updates) but it didn’t help.
Permissions are correctly set also (755 for directories, 644 for files).
Can you help?
