Does the plugin work with WP multisites?

I have this WP multisite: https://www.coresystemtrust.org.uk/. At some point many (most? all?) of the media in the media library were duplicated so if I go to the library it says I have 17,752 files in “All files” and 17,803 in “Root folder” but the reality is that there are far fewer. Running “find . -name “*.jpg” | wc -l” in the wp-content/uploads folder reports 1,971 jpgs, similarly, 1,259 pngs. I am looking for some way to purge the library of all these ghost or zombie entries but I know that some plugins which offer this sort of power won’t work on multisites … hence the question.
