    Hi Ninja-Team,

it feels like every couple days I get a message from NinjaFirewall that I should update FluentForms due to a security update. Usually I try to update within the next day, but I got a bit tired of doing so and testing the websites I maintain.

So my question are: How serious should I take the NinjaFirewall note “Don’t leave your blog at risk, make sure to update as soon as possible.”? Why are so many coming one version after the other? How many still will come before they are “normal” updates again?

    Thank you very much
    Stefan

    Hello @stefaninthailand ,

Thank you for sharing your concern. I understand this can be tiring when you maintain several websites and need to test each update.

Yes, we recommend taking security update notices seriously and updating to the latest Fluent Forms version after your normal backup or staging check. Recent releases included security fixes and hardening, so these are not only routine maintenance updates.

The reason you have seen several updates close together is that we shipped individual fixes and follow-up hardening as they became ready, rather than holding them back for a larger release. I can’t predict or promise how many future security-focused updates there will be, but our recommendation is to keep Fluent Forms updated whenever a security-related release is available.

You can review the public changelog of Fluent Forms.

    Thanks.
