Saving translated Elementor template overwrites primary language template
-
I am experiencing a major bug when using Elementor Pro Popups and Theme Builder with Polylang. (I am not using any 3rd-party connector plugins like Connect Polylang with Elementor, as it made things worse).
What We Encountered: I create a Greek template, save it and set display conditions. When I edit and save its translated English template (Popup or Header) in Elementor, something strange happens. It physically overwrites my original Greek template’s design and title with the English data. When this happens, the “Update” button hangs and stays pink. We verified that the templates have distinct Post IDs, yet they still overwrite each other. So, in my english language there is no template loading, and in my greek language it loads the english which has overriden the greek one. Or it shows in both languages the one I saved latest.
Elementor support reviewed this on their end and advised us to reach out to you. I have made a recording to understand better. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1rLpA2iMacgTQjvtZFQxLJ6BrdyfODDs5/view?usp=sharingCurrent Status: This is actively ruining our site’s templates and remains completely unfixed despite our troubleshooting. On Polylang settings we have the templates to be translateable and any synchronisation is off.
Questions:
- What is causing the save process to forcefully overwrite the primary language template instead of the active translated one?
- How can we fix this so the translations save independently?
Thanks in advance,
