Event Speaker Display Issues
-
Hi,
Thank you for the most recent update which has fixed a lot of issues introduced by a previous update. There still seems to some issues and/or items missing from the classic event editor which I use fairly regularly.
1 – The toggle button for displaying or hiding the speaker listing is missing from the Classic event editor. As a result, to enable the display of speaker users must switch to the modern editor interface activate the speaker display toggle at Step 1 and then save the event.
Unfortunately, the above work around does not help with virtual events because the modern editor interface will not save an event unless the “Virtual event details” field has some content which will be emailed to users who register for the event.
Many of our events were entered into WPEvently using a previous release of the plugin and they already have an email that is sent to registrants. The Modern editor generates an additional, repetitive email for our users.
2 – The settings option for controlling the display of the speaker’s list seems to have disappeared from any of the “Settings” tabs. This control might be having an impact on the Virtual theme’s ability to display speakers but the control seems to be missing.
3 – It would be helpful if there was a button or toggle on the classic editor interface that permitted switching to the modern editor interface. The modern editor has a button to switch to classic but there is way to switch back without resorting to the WP Default Post List Style option in the Dashboard Event List Page Style section of the General Settings options menu.
The site is using WordPress version 7.0.2 and PHP version 8.3.31.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions or assistance.
