• Hi!

I have some problems with changing my admin address. I managed to update it under General Settings on the dashboard, where I can now see the new address as Administration Email Address, but the Users section and Profile still show the old address, with a green message underneath: “There is a pending change of your email to xxxx.xxx”. This pending change message has been there for two weeks already.

Subsequently, the system still recognizes the old address as the administrator email. I have to enter it when logging in, and I would probably need access to it if I ever forgot my password or needed to recover my account, or something else happen.

I am currently having problems accessing the old email account and may lose access to it completely at any time. I am therefore concerned that I could eventually lose access to the admin panel.

Could someone please help me complete the email change and make sure the new address is used as the administrator email?

You can change this admin email address in several ways even without using a confirm email:

“There is a pending change of your email to xxxx.xxx”. This pending change message has been there for two weeks already.

This is probably you have to approve from the email in case you are updating the administration email.

An admin notice at top like Your email address has not been updated yet. Please check your inbox at abc@domain.com for a confirmation email. which usually hides after the page reload.

You must have received a confirmation email in the new email address you are trying to add.

In case you have not received an email, then beside the green notice there is a cancel button. Hit cancel. change the email again with the new one, and save changes.

and still if you do not receive the email, then check with you mailing server or smtp connections.
