Hi @kalicodreamz,
Thanks for reporting this, and sorry you hit a wall. Let’s get it sorted.
That message actually comes from your WordPress site rather than from Facebook. It means that when Facebook sent you back to your site at the end of the setup, WordPress didn’t recognise you as a user with permission to manage the store, so it stopped the connection there.
A few questions to narrow it down:
- Which role is your WordPress user? The connection needs Administrator, or Shop manager.
- Are you logged into WP Admin in the same browser and window where you started the connection? If it was a private/incognito window, or you started from a link in the Facebook app, that would explain it.
- Does your site address use
www or not, and is it the same in Settings → General for both WordPress Address and Site Address? A mismatch there logs you out on the way back.
- Are you using any security, login, or user-role plugins?
- Which version of Meta for WooCommerce are you on? It’s shown on the Plugins screen.
Worth trying first: log into WP Admin directly in a normal browser window, confirm at the top right that you’re logged in as an administrator, then start the connection from Marketing → Meta rather than from any saved link or bookmark.
If that still stops at the same message, your WooCommerce → Status → System status report would help us dig further.
Best,
Marko
