• Subject: Recurring Events + Sell Tickets — duplicate ticket products created but not linked to new event occurrences

Plugin: WP Event Manager (core) + Recurring Events add-on + Sell Tickets add-on
    Site: joyfulpath.org

    Summary:
Weekly recurring events are generating correctly as separate posts (confirmed in Event Manager > All Events and the Recurring Events list). However, the ticket/registration section is missing entirely from the live pages of the recurring occurrences, even though “Duplicate Tickets With Events” is enabled in Settings > Event Recurring.

    Steps to reproduce:

    1. Parent event: “Loving Kindness Meditation,” set to repeat weekly.
    2. Parent event has three WooCommerce ticket products attached: Sponsor Ticket ($30), Sustainer Ticket ($15), Free Ticket ($0). These display correctly on the parent event’s live page under “Ticket Information.”
    3. Recurrence runs and creates weekly child events (e.g., loving-kindness-meditation-4-3, dated August 5, 2026).
    4. On the live front-end page for the child event, the “Ticket Information” section does not appear at all — no way to register or pay.
    5. Settings > Event Recurring > “Duplicate Tickets With Events” is checked/enabled.

What we’re seeing on the WooCommerce side:
Our Products list (WooCommerce > Products) shows roughly 2,026 products, almost entirely repeated sets of “Sponsor Ticket (LKM),” “Sustainer Ticket (LKM),” and “Free Ticket (LKM),” nearly all filed under “Uncategorized,” with timestamps clustered in tight groups (e.g., multiple sets within minutes of each other on 2026/06/30, 2026/06/17, 2026/07/16). Stock counts across these duplicate sets differ slightly (e.g., 499, 496, 494), suggesting the plugin is generating new duplicate ticket products on each recurrence cycle rather than reusing or correctly relinking them — but these products are not appearing on the corresponding child event’s live page.

    Questions:

    1. Why aren’t the duplicated ticket products being attached/displayed on the newly generated recurring event pages, despite “Duplicate Tickets With Events” being enabled?
    2. Is this expected to generate a new set of ticket products for every recurrence cycle, or should it be reusing/relinking existing ones? The current behavior looks like it’s accumulating orphaned products.
    3. Is there a known issue or fix for Recurring Events + Sell Tickets not correctly linking tickets to child event post IDs?
    4. What is the safe way to clean up the existing ~2,000 duplicate “Uncategorized” ticket products without affecting products tied to real historical orders?
    5. What is the correct configuration for a recurring, ticketed event series going forward?

Happy to provide screenshots, plugin version numbers, or admin access if that speeds up diagnosis.
