A client of yours who has been using TranslatePress on their site, Keaton’s Child Cancer Alliance https://childcancer.org does not remember their account number, but as their site administrator, I can see they’re experiencing issues of pages only being partially translated and the dashboard. (Image attached)

At first glance, I thought they were a paid account, but now I’m not sure. There is evidence of an API key missing or invalid (or both) and another plugin is asking me to activate the license. I know this was working when I first took over the duty of keeping the backend clean, but now it doesn’t seem to be working cleanly. They have English, Spanish, and Russian setup.

Any guidance you can provide would be helpful. This organization helps children with cancer and their families and relies on donations to keep their work going. They are a non-profit, so time is of the essence, as you can imagine.

If it’s a matter of buying a license to resolve the issue, we’ll do that. If the key is missing and needs to be replaced, we could use help with that key.

    Thanks in advance.

Also, seeing this error. “There was an error with your Google Translate key.” Even though this error was received, before I went through the process of creating another one, it seemed like it was worth some more discovery because part of the page is being translated as you can see in the link. Then, some is not. One of the two plugins is asking me to activate a license.

    Hello @lenramirez

We’d be happy to help you investigate this and get TranslatePress working on the site.

It looks like the screenshot/image you mentioned was not included in your post. Could you please share a link to the image so we can take a closer look at the issue?

To better understand the setup and troubleshoot the partial translations and API key issue, could you please provide the following screenshots?

    1. Go to WordPress Dashboard → Plugins → Installed Plugins and send a screenshot showing all installed plugins related to TranslatePress.
    2. Go to Settings →TranslatePress and share a screenshot of the General tab.
    3. Go to Settings →TranslatePress → Automatic Translation and share a screenshot showing all the settings from this tab.

You can use a free tool like snipboard.io to upload and share the screenshot.

Please make sure to hide/blur any API keys or sensitive credentials before sharing the screenshots publicly on the forum!

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Hello Len,

Thank you for sending the screenshots.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to access the files because they are currently restricted. When I tried to open them, Google Drive prompted me to request permission.

Could you please accept my access requests, or alternatively change the sharing settings so that anyone with the link can view the files?

The email address I used to request access is dani1*****@gmail.com.

    Hello Len,

Thank you for accepting the access requests.

After reviewing the settings, I noticed that Automatic Translation is currently disabled on the site. This would explain why some parts of the pages are not being translated automatically.

Could you please enable Automatic Translation and then check if the pages are translating correctly?

If the pages are still not translating correctly, please open a ticket on our website here, as we’ll need to investigate the issue in more detail.

I enabled the autotranslation and the Google API key gets an error.

You have to go to the Translate Press page to see the enablement and the error.

I checked the page we’re concerned with and it’s only partially translating.
