This is a great plugin but I have had several times where people that had a login now don’t. There accounts are not listed and we have no expiry system at all.

They are also no longer in the WP Users listing.

People are saying they have been using the website restricted area for a long time, but now no account.

Is anyone else having this issue? Is there anyway I can really check further on this.?

Thank you for reaching out to us.

That is very strange because our plugin does not delete an account unless the administrator or the user/ member decides too. Or another plugin in your site is deleting WP Users accounts.

They are also no longer in the WP Users listing.

If that is the case, I am sure another plugin is deleting the account or the person in question or maybe the user has by accident.

People are saying they have been using the website restricted area for a long time, but now no account.

Do you mean the protected content in your site?

Is anyone else having this issue? Is there anyway I can really check further on this.?

No one has reported this issue. As I mentioned above, something in your site is physically deleting users accounts which is probably affecting Members account as well. Do you have the following feature Auto Delete Pending Account enabled? Do you also have the option Allow Account Deletion, enabled as well? These can be found under WP Membership -> Settings -> Advanced Settings.

Let me know if the above helps you in any way.

    Kind regards.

If the accounts are truly gone from the WP Users list and SWPM members list in wp-admin, that kind of disappearance happens when the account is actually deleted, and there are four likely paths for that:

    1. Self-service deletion: if Allow Account Deletion is enabled (under WP Membership → Settings → Advanced Settings), members get a “Delete Account” button on their profile page. If they use it (after confirming their password), it removes both their SWPM member record and their WP User account in one step — which matches exactly what you’re describing. It’s worth checking whether that setting is on, since a member could do this without necessarily realizing the consequence, or on behalf of someone else.
    2. An administrator deleting the account: if you have multiple site administrators, it’s possible one of them deleted an account without you knowing. Just one possibility to rule out.
    3. Auto Delete Pending Account: as mentioned above, this can automatically remove pending accounts (ones the member never confirmed via email activation). This shouldn’t affect any full/active members.
    4. A cleanup/optimization plugin: some cleanup, security, or maintenance plugins can automatically delete “unused” or inactive user accounts as part of their optimization routines. If you have anything like that installed, it’s worth checking its settings or logs.

Could you share a screenshot of your Advanced Settings page showing the Allow Account Deletion and Auto Delete Pending Account options?

Sorry for the delay in responding, I have been very busy :).

I will review what you have written above and I have also turned debug on to see if/when it happens again.

    Cheers

    Greg
