How to include or add a custom post status?

    Hello,

    I was wondering if you might be able to provide info on how I might be able to add a custom post status to your plugin’s functionality?

    I am using a job listings plugin that uses a “Jobs” custom post type (job_listing) and includes an “Expired” custom post status. While I can see & select Jobs under Post Type, Expired is not listed under Post Status. While using the post status “Any” in your my list settings can show posts (including Jobs) that are in draft, I can not see Jobs posts that are expired in my list. None of the other existing post status options work in this case.

    Would you be able to suggest a script or code snippet that I could add using a code snippets plugin to include the custom expired post status to the “Any” option?

    Thank you for your consideration! I still find this plugin quite useful for creating lists for both general public use and internal use (for posts housekeeping)!

    Hi Frank,

    Good news — we just released version 2.5.6 and it covers exactly this. The Post Status option in the list settings now shows every registered status, including custom ones like the “Expired” status from your job listings plugin.

    After updating, edit your list and simply check “Expired” under Post Status. No code snippet needed.

    One note: the “Any” option still won’t include expired jobs — WordPress core excludes search-hidden statuses from “any”, so the status needs to be checked directly.
