• Hello,

I am currently testing Tutor LMS Pro (demo online) and I am facing an issue regarding the “Mark as Complete” button.

I have already configured the course settings to “Strict” mode and enabled the “Video Lesson Completion Control” set to 100%. Despite these settings, the “Mark as Complete” button remains fully active and clickable for students before they even watch the video. This allows them to bypass the mandatory viewing constraint.

I contacted the sales team, and they suggested I reach out here for technical assistance.

Could you please help me understand:

    1. Why does the “Mark as Complete” button remain active/clickable even when the course is set to “Strict” mode?
    2. Is there a specific configuration I am missing, or is there a way to hide/disable this button until the 100% video completion threshold is reached?

Also, I am planning to use Tutor LMS in combination with WooCommerce for my e-learning platform—could this integration be affecting the behavior of these completion constraints?

Thank you in advance for your support.

    Best regards,
    Mario

  • Hello Tutor LMS Support,

    Thank you for your response.

My issue is not related to the “Mark as Complete” button or video completion settings.

The actual issue is with the Create Announcement page. The UI/layout is not displaying correctly. The page styling appears broken, and the interface is not rendering as expected.

I have attached screenshots of the issue for your reference.

Could you please help me identify whether this is a Tutor LMS issue, a theme compatibility issue (Edumall), or a plugin conflict?

    Thank you.

    Hello @mpc70,

    Thanks for reaching out.

To ensure Video Lesson Completion Control works as expected, please make sure Tutor Player is enabled for both YouTube and Vimeo. You can enable it from Tutor LMS > Settings > Course > Video. When Strict Mode is enabled and Video Lesson Completion Control is set to 100%, students will not be able to complete video lesson until they have watched 100% of the video. Mark as Complete button may still be clickable for other lesson types, but video lessons will only be marked complete after the required watch time is met. Also, using Tutor LMS with WooCommerce does not affect this behavior, so you can safely use.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Hello @waqarnasir,

Since this is a different issue from original topic, we kindly request that you create a separate support topic from next time. It looks like the screenshot link was not included in your reply. Could you please share the screenshots link? Also, could you let us know where you are trying to create the announcement? Is it from WordPress Dashboard or Tutor LMS Frontend Dashboard?

    Best regards,

    Hello @urnafiz,

Thank you very much for the clarification! I have checked the Tutor Player settings and it is now working as expected. I appreciate your support in solving this issue.

Since I have another, unrelated question regarding student reporting and data export, I will open a new topic for that to keep the forum organized.

    Best regards, Mario
