• I’ve updated my domain name and need to adjust things in the Google for Woocommerce settings, but when I click on the tab it just gets stuck with the dreaded never ending circle. I’ve tried deactivating and reactivating, uninstalling and reinstalling, deactivating all other plugins, using Divi safe mode, nothing is working. I’m at my wits end! But my products aren’t showing at the moment, so I need to find a fix, help!

    Hi @corinegraham!

Thank you for reaching out and for providing those details.

I understand you’ve already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin. However, could you also try disconnecting and reconnecting the accounts?

Since the issue started after changing your domain name, it’s possible that the Google Merchant Center website claim needs to be re-established.

    1. Go to Marketing → Google for WooCommerce → Settings.
    2. Click Disconnect from all accounts.
    3. Reconnect the same WordPress.com, Google, and Google Merchant Center accounts.

If you’re unable to access the Settings page because the plugin remains stuck loading, please share:

    • A copy of your WooCommerce System Status Report (WooCommerce → Status → Get system report).
    • Any errors shown in your browser’s developer console (F12 → Console) when the loading spinner appears.

Please use https://pastebin.com/ or https://gist.github.com/ and paste the system status report in there. You can then share the link from pastebin with us.Once we have more information, we’ll be able to assist you further.

    Hi @corinegraham!

Thank you for sharing the console errors.

The most notable error in the screenshot is the 401 (Unauthorized) response from the Google for WooCommerce REST API endpoints. This typically indicates that the plugin is unable to authenticate correctly with the connected Google services, or that the required permissions are not being granted. This can happen if the Google account connection has become invalid, the authorization tokens have expired, or if a security-related plugin or server configuration is interfering with the requests.

To help rule out any connection or security-related issues, could you please try the following steps?

    1. Go to Marketing → Google for WooCommerce → Settings and disconnect all connected Google accounts.
    2. Deactivate the Google for WooCommerce plugin.
    3. Temporarily deactivate Really Simple Security and Wordfence as well.
    4. Open a new Incognito/Private Browsing window and log in to your WordPress admin dashboard.
    5. Activate only the Google for WooCommerce plugin (leave the security plugins disabled for now).
    6. Follow the setup process again and reconnect your Google account, Merchant Center account, and Google Ads account.

Once you’ve completed these steps, please let us know what you find and whether you’re able to complete the connection successfully. If the issue persists, please share any new error messages or screenshots, and we’ll be happy to investigate further.

As I stated previously I CAN’T get to the Settings tab, it just stays stuck on the loading circle. So unfortunately step 1 isn’t even possible!

    Hi @corinegraham!

Thank you for update and sorry for missing this. Could you please follow these steps to deactivate all plugins?

    • Navigate to the Google for WooCommerce Settings page: https://<example.com>/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wc-admin&path=%2Fgoogle%2Fsettings (Replace <example.com> with your site’s domain.)
    • Scroll down and select Disconnect from all accounts.

After that, please try connecting all accounts again. If that does not work, I would suggest deactivating all plugins manually instead of using Divi Safe Mode, and then trying once more to disconnect and reconnect the accounts.

Let us know if that works for you.

As I’ve stated several times, I CAN’T! There is no way for me to select that disconnect button, as the settings page won’t load!
