• Hello, I configured the plugin in the WordPress dashboard. However, one problem has arisen:

After enabling and configuring the plugin, the product pages automatically refresh every few seconds (the page reloads on its own every 2–3 seconds). When I disabled the plugin, the problem went away immediately

I also have a question: Is it possible to disable the plugin from sending data to DataLayer? I’d like the plugin to send data only from the backend, bypassing DataLayer.

  • Hi @tares1989

    Thanks for the detailed report.

We’ve identified and fixed a bug: when a cookie/consent plugin re-confirmed consent on each page load, our script reloaded the page, which could loop every few seconds on product pages. That will be included in the next release.

Sending only from the backend (no DataLayer)
Yes. Use Settings → Advanced → Pause browser tracking. That stops all frontend gtag / DataLayer ecommerce events. Purchases and refunds still go to GA4 via Measurement Protocol when the API secret is configured under Connection.

Note: browser-only funnel events (view_itemadd_to_cartbegin_checkout, etc.) need the frontend; backend-only mode is mainly for purchase/refund reliability.

If the refresh continues after updating (or with Pause browser tracking on), tell us which consent plugin you use (Cookiebot, CookieYes, Complianz, etc.) and we’ll dig further.
