Thanks for checking in! I’m already working on the feature this weekend, and hopefully it will be live soon. It does require extensive testing to cover as many scenarios as possible, so an extra set of hands would definitely be helpful.
I’ll share a beta release in the next couple of days so you can test it and share your feedback before I make it public.

Would it be possible to “translate” special characters like eg. “‘”into what they should actually represent, eg. a single quote ?

In the tab where one selects the “Exoprt Fields”, under the heading of “Relations”, you might consider distinguishing between a “Parent Post” and “Post-where-image-is-used”, possibly by applying following definitions:
- Parent Post := “the Post from which the action was initiated to upload an image”
- UsedBy Post := “the Post in which the image was loaded from the Media Library”
Obviously, in the resulting export file, you would then have a new/separate line for each found Post where the image is used in.

Sorry for the delay, it took a little longer than expected because I had some other commitments. I’ve now released version 3.1, which includes the image usage information feature. Please give it a try and let me know your feedback.
I’ll still be busy for the next 2–3 weeks, but after that I’ll get back to working on your remaining requests (e.g. special characters).

On first attemp (just now) I encounter an issue that I got before – but not directly related to the ‘where used’ feature itself.
In various captions and other meta-fields we used some ‘comma’ and ‘double quote’ als “formatting elements” in the descriptions … This seems to cause issues when generating csv-files, where comma and double-quote are used to separate fields.
This results in unexcpected – or rather unwanted – splitting of the records/lines in the csv file.
Is there a handy way to overcome this issue? (other than reviewing all images in the media library to avoid comma and double-quote)
I notice that you provide a “count” which I assume would stand for the number of posts an image is used in. However, my csv-export shows only one occurrence/line of each image in media library, even where the count is larger than one. There are also lines with “Used in (count)” = 0.
I would find it a useful reminder if you would find a place to describe the meaning of each column in the csv, especially for :
Used In (count)
Used In (posts)
Used In (URLs)
Unused
