In NextGen Gallery 4.2.3, clicking on a thumbnail gives an image with the caption overlaying the image and partly or totally obscuring the image (depending on size of caption). This makes the gallery unusable with mobiles. On the above link (https://simongarrett.uk/framarchtest/townscape-2/), click on the first image and reduce window width to mobile size, and the caption hides the image. With NextGen 3.59.12, the caption is below the image and does not obscure it. See https://simongarrett.uk/framlinghamarchive/townscape-2/, where the caption does not obscure the image.

Is there any way around this in NextGen Gallery 4.x? Some way to force the caption below the image, not over the top? Or should I stick with v3.59.12?

Sorry, problem solved. When NextGen Gallery upgraded to v4.xx, it had used the default Library Lightbox (“Simplelightbox”) which displays the caption over image, causing a problem for me. An alternative Lightbox “Fancybox” displays the caption below the image, which is what I need. Job done.
