Hi! Welcome to the WordPress Community!
No worries at all — this is a common point of confusion when using page builders.
SimpleTOC does not add a separate dashboard menu. It adds a Table of Contents block to the WordPress block editor, also known as Gutenberg.
If you are using WPBakery, that may be the reason you do not see the SimpleTOC block, because WPBakery uses its own editor instead of the native WordPress block editor.
A few things you can check:
- Open a page or post with the regular WordPress block editor.
- Click the “+” button to add a block.
- Search for “SimpleTOC” or “Table of Contents”.
- Make sure the plugin is installed and activated under Plugins → Installed Plugins.
If you are building the page entirely with WPBakery, the SimpleTOC block may not be available there directly. In that case, you would need to use SimpleTOC in the block editor, or check whether WPBakery allows inserting Gutenberg blocks or reusable blocks into its layout.
Hope that helps!
think about leaving a review of my free plugin here. It really makes a difference https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/simpletoc/reviews/#new-post
