Can’t get google maps to connect

    Hello and thank you for your help! I have tried and tried to get the mapping feature to activate but it just will not. I have several great working project APIs – all with proper permissions and service APIs activated. Many of these are working on other sites with other mapping plugins, plus the system just ignores this and does not show a “inactive API” warning you typically see if the API is to blame.

    I need to purchase a license for advanced features, but I can’t do that because my client is not happy that there is no mapping, which probably will not be fixed by purchasing the pro version – aside from maybe getting a different level of support.

    Thank you so much for looking into this for me! I did check those known issues and none cover this particular issue. I am not getting the standard google maps api not working warning. I have deactivated plugins and tried this on the wordpress 2025 theme as well, so I have done my testing. No errors are showing in the wordpress error tracking.

    The sample has an address, but no map because when I try to connect the map, the location details will not save. I would be happy to turn you loose in the wp admin if we can communicate privately in some way. This is a staging site so there is no risk.

    If we can get this working I will be recommending we purchase the license for the pro version, so I hope to hear form you soon.

    It’s against forum rules to request or accept admin credentials.

    Create a new location and post the link to the location page here. If you check the developer console you might see errors like RefererNotAllowedMapError or ApiNotActivatedMapError

    When you try to add the location in the backed look in the developer console. Type in the longitude/latitude for the address and report what errors you see in the console. You might see errors like geocoding failures or API key rejection.
