Question about lazy loading and SEO

I’ve enabled lazy loading for the gallery images to improve page speed, but I’m a bit concerned about how this affects image indexing in Google Search Console. Does the plugin add any structured data or alt-text handling automatically, or do I need to configure that separately? Also, is there a recommended number of images per gallery before performance starts to suffer? Would appreciate any guidance, thanks in advance.
