• Hi,

I am trying this plugin and it feels great for a lot of features but I am struggling with shortcodes.
I tried 2 different tests with tags and categories but I can’t figure out what I missed :
    [events_list category=”test” view=”grid”]
    [events_list tag=”accueil” view=”grid”]
However, no one displays any events. Moreover, I can’t reach https://sc3.krophil.fr/events/tags to see if the slug is different.

    Thank you for your help

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Go to Events > Settings > Event Categories and there you will see a list of the categories and the slug for each one. If the slug is “test” then the following should work:

    [events_list category="test" view="grid"]

I am sorry, I think I did that but it won’t work. Here are some screenshots to prove I did the maximum:

The category with its slug “test”

The shortcode with the category (I tried with tags too, same result…):

    the result:

Here is the event up to date with an event category.

I noted I had the same issue with tags, I could not make it work… I just need one working to be able to sort events visible in homepage or not.

And I tried the permalinks with tags and categories, and got 404 errors : http://sc3.krophil.fr/events/categories ; http://sc3.krophil.fr/events/tags

How can I help to show you more logs ?

What is your “events” page. When I go to http://sc3.krophil.fr/events/ I also get a 404 error.

Go to Events > Settings and then go the Pages tab and then click on the Event List/Archives section and you’ll see a pulldown where you can select the Events Page. In my website the page is called Calendar and then when go the Pages > All Pages and search for Calendar and then click on Quick Edit I see the slug for that page is events. Your setting may be different. Once you know the slug (let’s say it’s myevents) then you’ll be able to see the categories by going to http://sc3.krophil.fr/myevents/categories

Indeed, my page is “evenements”, thank you! However, same issue : when I go to this page, it is 404, https://sc3.krophil.fr/evenements (the page edit is redirecting me to https://sc3.krophil.fr/index.php/evenements/ which is also a 404)

I must have screwed up somewhere on my wordpress… I can’t have nothing working and be alone… I will check further if another plugin is messing around with events-manager. If you don’t see any issue on your website, I must have something strange.

Looks like there’s a problem with your WordPress installation. Many of the links are broken. Try logging into your backend and then go to Settings > Permalinks and then click on Save Changes and see if that resolves the problem.
