Hey @ristretto6
This usually means there might be an issue with your email delivery. What you can do is install a plugin that logs any outgoing emails sent by WordPress such as https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/email-log/. When that is active, it will add a new menu section where you can see all of the emails that WordPress sends out.
Try making a purchase (even in test mode) and then check the mail log page to see if it shows there. If the email does show then WordPress is doing it’s job but then the problem can be at the server level.
You can try looking at using a dedicated email provider for sending out your emails as that adds reliability to the entire process.
Hmm, well when I first installed EDD it was successfully sending emails when someone made a purchase, so something has changed since then. I did get this email from Square but I have no idea what it means and I’ve contacted their support multiple times to ask, with no response. Any idea if this is related?
Hi,
Can you please reach out to our team via the support page http://easydigitaldownloads.com/support and then we can look more into this?
EDD uses the WordPress core functionality to send out emails so if something changed at the server level then that would explain why emails are failing.
The Stripe email is related to the Webhook events and it usually means that their servers were unable to reach out to your website when sending/testing the Webhook events.
I’m not seeing way to submit a support ticket without logging in–which appears to require creating a paid account. Am I missing something?
Send an email directly to support@easydigitaldownloads.com with the issue and we will take it from there.
