We’re seeing an issue where some of our users—mainly editors and administrators—receive an “Error creating revisions” message when attempting to create a revision.

The issue appears to affect only some of users, not everyone, and we’re trying to determine the root cause. Could you advise on what might trigger this error? Are there any known issues related to permissions, revision creation, or recent changes in the plugin that could cause this behavior?

If there are specific logs, debug settings, or additional information that would help diagnose the problem, please let us know and we’ll be happy to provide it.

    Hi @vikp ,

Could you let us know which version of PublishPress Revisions you’re using? Also, do you have any other PublishPress plugins installed on your site?

I’m checking whether there might be a plugin conflict that’s causing the issue.

@vikp Early next week, we will release an update which may resolve this issue. Here’s the GitHub pre-release link in case you’d like to take a look before then.

@vikp If you find that the pre-release version does not resolve this issue, please check the following error logs and reply with any corresponding entries:

    • PHP error log
    • Any javascript errors shown in your browser’s developer mode console
