I’m working on pricing for a trip and there is one individual price if the person is alone but a lower price per person for dual occupancy in the room. How would I show this in the Yatra trips set up?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @exnihilodesigns

Yes, you can absolutely set this up in Yatra. Since your price changes based on whether someone travels alone or shares a room, the best way is to create two occupancy options as traveler categories. Here’s how:

    1. Create your two occupancy types Go to Yatra → Traveler Categories → Add Category and make two:

    • Single Occupancy → set Pricing Mode to Per group, with Min = 1 and Max = 1
    • Double Occupancy (Twin Share) → set Pricing Mode to Per group, with Min = 2 and Max = 2

    2. Add the prices to your trip Open your trip → Pricing section → choose Traveler-Based Pricing, then:

    • Add Pricing → Single Occupancy → enter the price for one person traveling alone
    • Add Pricing → Double Occupancy → enter the total price for both people together

👉 One thing to keep in mind: the “Per group” option charges a single total for the room, not a per-person amount. So for Double Occupancy, add up both people’s price and enter that total. Example: if your shared rate is $500 per person, enter $1,000 for Double Occupancy. The system then works out to $500 each — lower than the solo price.

What your guests will see On the booking page they’ll get two clear choices — Single Occupancy and Double Occupancy — and simply pick the one that matches their trip.

If you’d rather show it as a “single supplement” instead (a normal per-person price plus an extra fee for solo travelers), that’s also possible — just let me know and I’ll walk you through it.
