I am not understanding exactly how this plugin works. I have the default setting to protect Posts and Pages. But I do not see WHERE or HOW a SPECIFIC password can be set for a specific page ONLY. I tried using a Master Password – but they are not working at all for me on protected pages – they always fail to open the protected page.
Regarding the specific passwords for pages and posts in Free version:
All passwords, including the default password created by the WordPress password protection feature, are displayed and managed in our plugin’s section on the Edit Page screen.
In the PPWP Free version, the Master Password feature only works with posts. If you want to use the Master Password for pages and custom post types, you’ll need to upgrade to PPWP Pro.
Thank you so much for your reply. I suspect hat the problem here is with this client’s use of Elementor. Using the Elementor editor, I don’t see Password Protect WordPress dialog on the editing screen. But I found the PPWP widget. I need to apply PPWP to an Elementor Shortcode section. I see that PPWP itself can be implemented with a shortcode, but it is not obvious to me how an existing Elementor Shortcode section can be protected – if I drag and drop the PPWP widget, it either appears above or below the existing Elementor Shortcode section.

If you’re looking to protect only the content of the Shortcode widget (rather than the entire page), you can do so using the PPWP widget in Elementor. Please refer to our guide here:
