Whenever I use custom permalink on pages, the Divi builder is not working and turning to 404 error.

The divi builder works fine if this plugin is inactive and the page uses simple or default permalink. I already did troubleshooting and deactivating plugins. I also disable redirect from the settings of Permalink Manager Lite, bu still didn’t work.

    Please let advise. Thanks

    Hi @noypi2021,

It seems like the problem is in your cache settings. After I added a random query parameter to the URL (to load uncached version of the page), it worked as intended:

Could you check if the issue still persists if the cache is temp. deactivated?

If this does not solve the problem, please enable “Debug mode” under “Tools -> Permalink Manager -> Settings -> Advanced settings“.

    Best regards,
    Maciej

    Hello,

I think you misunderstood the issue I raise. The page is working fine and all links are accessible. However, whenever I tried to edit the page using a divi builder, it turns to 404 error. In that said, the live editor link for Divi is not working for all the pages using custom links.

    Please advise.

Here is the video showing the error. As you can see if I edit page without the custom link, it works fine (on contact page). But it’s not working on the page with custom link. When I deactivate the plugin and the page uses default link, the builder works properly.

Thank you, now I see the issue clearly. Technically, the link for Divi editor is simply the page URL with the “?et_fb=1&PageSpeed=off” query parameters appended. Permalink Manager does not modify or interfere with these parameters.

I tested this on my dev server using the latest version of Divi (5.8.0) and multiple custom permalink variants but unfortunately I was unable to reproduce the issue. I have not received similar reports from other users so far.

Unfortunately, troubleshooting this issue would require direct access to the website. WordPress.org guidelines do not allow this for security & liability reasons, so I am unable to investigate it directly 🙁

    Thank you.

I already fixed the issue. The culprit is this plugin: Editor Cleanup For Divi Builder

    Thanks for the help.
